TFL Fashion & Color Inspirations Spring/Summer 2009

TFL has released its new 'Color Trends & Fashion Inspirations' catalog for the spring / summer 2009 season. The catalog was realized in association with the two well-know designers Carmen Rimoldi and Sergio Belloni. The main advantage of this trend book for TFL's customers is that it is published 21 months in advance of the retail season.
The issue Spring/Summer 2009 implies the idea that fashion is not the serious matter we know it to be in reality. The fun lies in mixing and combining pieces or the possibility of changing the volumes of clothes through invisible mechanisms. The color preferences, general fashion considerations and styling directions in TFL's 'Color Trends & Fashion Inspirations' are divided up into three categories: Chic, Classic and Casual:

Chic shades are inspired by a harmonic and natural world, invaded by the warm and fascinating colors of plants. Basic colors conveying quiet and pureness, but taking us back to the '60s when combined with green and violet, with more cutting vivid spirit.
The Classic world is deeply inspired by colors of the Mediterranean beaches, where the strong appeal of the sea combines with the period of figurative arts. Flaming and almost primary colours convey strength and energy, but drive us towards a measured chromatic indiscipline through creative and post-futuristic combinations, daring with creative couplings.
Casual colors reflect the cold light of pixels and deformed effects. Unusual combinations remind us of new forms of mimetism. Iron grey cuts these colors and makes them matchable, while deep yellow inflames them of a dazzling light with psychedelic effects.
The TFL 'Color Trends & Fashion Inspirations' catalog for leather is published twice a year. The exclusive editions are available in February and September. Please contact your local TFL partner for details, or have a look at http://www.tfl.com/ to see the forecasted fashion and color trends.

History of Polo Ralph Lauren

The brand was launched in 1967 when Ralph Lauren, born Ralph Lifschitz, got a $50,000 loan. Prior to starting Ralph Lauren, he worked for Brooks Brothers. In 1968 he started a line of men's ties. By 1969 he had a boutique store within the Manhattan department store Bloomingdale's. In 1971, Polo Ralph Lauren launched its first women's collection and his first standalone store in Beverly Hills, California. Ten years later, in 1981, the brand went global with its first international store on London's New Bond Street. The Polo Sport line was introduced in 1993.
The brand now produces clothing, accessories, fragrances, furniture, operates the restaurant RL in Chicago, and sponsors a Harlem cancer center in association with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The flagship store is located in the former Rhinelander Mansion on Madison Avenue in New York City.
Other flagship stores are located in Chicago, East Hampton, London, Miami, Milan, Palm Beach, and Tokyo.
Ralph Lauren is one of the largest fashion designer/retailers in the United States, with sales almost reaching 2 billion pounds per year.
