By observing the pervious entry (Color Forecasting Report (2)), it can be analyzed that the most popular color scheme used by Ralph Lauren is achromatic color scheme. Between 2004 and 2009, it was used in every single year. The popularity of the 5 color schemes is listed in the following table.
By the analysis, it has a high possibility for the achromatic color scheme to be applied in the 2010 fall winter collection. I believe the reason behind should be its elegance and easiness of carrying. Black and white always give a elegant image. Besides, when compare with other color scheme, achromatic color scheme can be applied in a wide range of occasions.

At the same time, monochromatic color scheme is very popular as well. In winter, Ralph Lauren used to nude color, say in 2009 and 2004; meanwhile, low chroma colors are also used. For example, in 2006, dark green was used; in 2007, dark brown was applied. These are the common ways used in Ralph Lauren’s monochromatic color scheme. However, in recent years, nude colors are quite popular, thus, I believe nude color monochromatic color scheme may be applied in 2010 collection.

Lastly, analogic color scheme is quite popular. It can said to be used biannually. Cool colors are usually applied in fall winter color. However, in 2008, Ralph Lauren used some warm colors, say orange and green. In 2010, many people around the world may be affected by the financial tsunami, they may feel depressed. I suggest Ralph Lauren to use some warm colors with high chroma, sending a happy message, and to cheer people up.
